Assignment 1

Improve photographic composition or balance of an image.

I took this photo in order to show the three guitarists. Nevertheless in order to improve the composition i cropped some f the environment around the subject.

Assignment 2

Highlight or 'zoom' in on a particular aspect or subject matter within the image in order to create drama and or increase or add visual intensity to an image.

The subject matter of the following image that i took is a group of fans singing along with the metal group in the concert.

i wanted to change the the subject matter and thus i zoom in to the man who seems like he is suffering.

So now it is a much more dramatic photo. The subject matter is the man with a Cyprus flag as a background.

Assignment 3

Change the aspect ratio E.g. 6 x 4,7 x 5, 10 x 8, square, panoramic etc and by doing so increase its visual weight, presence or import. Please note that a minimum of 3 x aspect ratio's of 3 x separate I individual images are required for this aspect of the exercise.

The photos of the above assignment were chosen because i find them very strong. I like capturing the environment and i believe that a landscape may be focused on different aspects within a single image. The photos were taken by me in summer 2013 in Cyprus.

Assignment 5

Change the reading or intended message of the image simply by cropping.

I took this picture while i was taking a walk. It was an old building which was about to destroyed in order to build another bigger and fancier building. This shows the evolution and the willing of progress. 

My idea was that if i crop the surroundings of the destroyed piece of building, the message would not be in any way evolution and progress.

The new message is the disaster the collapse the maybe the aftermath of a war. I found it very exciting the way in which a massage can be transform and especially in my chosen image, where in the first one there is a feel of sadness but because of the environment we know that this was done in order to build something better safer and nicer. On the other hand the second image which is focused to the destroyed part, the fillings cannot be good. Something terrible must have happen, maybe a bomb .
